Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 April 2026.

This policy describes how personal data is handled on the quellery.io website and during the purchase, delivery, renewal, and support of Quellery licences. Quellery is operated by Functional Core Ltd (company number 11693194, registered in England and Wales; registered office: 5 Beech Court, Hurst, Reading, England, RG10 0RQ), the data controller for the personal data described below. You can contact us at lance@quellery.io.

What this policy does not cover

Quellery the application is self-hosted. When you run it, it operates entirely inside your own environment — it does not phone home, it does not report telemetry, and it does not send any data to us. Anything Quellery reads from your databases stays on the servers you run it on. This policy therefore does not cover data inside a running Quellery instance; that data is yours, and is governed by whatever arrangements apply within your organisation.

What we collect, and why

Website visits

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL) for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. We do not run analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising cookies on the site, and we do not set any cookies of our own.

Licence purchases

When you buy a licence we collect:

Payment information (card details, billing address, tax details) is collected and processed by our payment provider, Polar. We do not see or store card numbers. Polar's privacy policy governs how they handle payment data.

Licence delivery

After purchase, a one-time download token for your licence file is stored in Cloudflare KV storage for 24 hours and then automatically deleted. The licence file itself is delivered by email via Resend. Renewal licences are delivered the same way.

Support correspondence

If you email us about a refund, cancellation, bug, or general question, we keep that correspondence for as long as it is useful for handling your request and any follow-up. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run the website and deliver licences:

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data retention

International transfers

Quellery is operated from the United Kingdom. Our service providers (Cloudflare, Polar, Resend) may process data in other jurisdictions, including the United States and the European Economic Area, under the safeguards those providers have in place for international transfers.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is wrong, to ask us to delete it (subject to our legal retention obligations), to object to our processing of it, and to request a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email lance@quellery.io from the address associated with your account. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be announced on the homepage.
