The HTTP API reference at /api-docs.html is visible on every edition, including Trial. Trial customers can read the full route reference, request and response schemas, and authentication notes before deciding to upgrade — they just can't call the API.
The read-only HTTP API is available on Personal, Team, and Enterprise editions. Each edition includes a generous per-instance cap on the number of active API keys.

Downgrading from Personal, Team, or Enterprise back to Trial: /api/v1/ stops serving requests — callers will receive a 404 as if the API were never installed. Your existing API keys are preserved (they remain visible in the admin panel and are not auto-revoked), and re-applying a licensed edition restores the API for those keys without any further action.
Quellery never sends data about your databases, models, or API usage to us. Telemetry stays on your instance — the /internal/metrics endpoint exposed on the loopback observability listener is for your operators to scrape, not for Quellery to phone home. The per-key activity column on the API Keys admin tab is computed on your instance, visible to your administrators, and never leaves your network.
All licensed editions remove every resource limit. They differ only in user count. Personal is available as a one-off purchase or an auto-renewing annual subscription; Team and Enterprise are annual subscriptions with a new licence file emailed to you before each renewal.

After payment, you'll receive an email with a download link for your licence.json file. You can also download it from the confirmation page.
Log in as an administrator, go to the Administrator page, and use the Licence card to upload your licence.json file. The licence takes effect immediately.
Subscription licences renew automatically each year. You'll receive a fresh licence.json by email with an updated expiry date — upload it to continue without interruption. The Personal one-off option doesn't renew; when it expires you can simply buy another year whenever you're ready.
Not happy with Quellery? Email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Your licensee name is shown on the Administrator page inside Quellery, or in the email that delivered your licence file.
Cancel at any time from your Polar customer portal — the link is in your purchase confirmation email. You'll keep access until the end of the current billing period. If you have any trouble with the portal, email us and we'll cancel it for you.
Polar handles renewal reminders and automatically retries failed payments. You'll be notified by email if something needs your attention before renewal can complete.
Nothing is deleted or locked. Quellery falls back to trial limits until you upload a fresh licence file — all your databases, models, and work stay exactly where they are.
